I have been a social worker for nearly 15 years and I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and motivational interviewing. Sometimes, feeling alone is experienced in an environment that seems crowded. This contradiction can leave us confused and overwhelmed because finding yourself in a world that doesn’t make sense is hard. If this sounds familiar, I may be able to help. To me, being a therapist isn’t about fixing, it’s about understanding and building resilience. It’s about finding our place and strengthening our connections to ourselves and to others. My name is Jayme, and I have been a registered social worker for seven years. I have three degrees, all of which have focused on social work, with emphases in clinical studies and behavioral sciences.

My specialties are based strongly on psychoanalyses, attachment, and behavioral theories. I provide many modalities of therapy, but I focus on psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, attachment therapy, and motivational interviewing.

If you are looking for a nonjudgmental space to unpack, process, and reorganize areas of your life that you are in conflict with, I may be able to help. I truly believe that we are all capable of healing and growth, and my goal is to provide the tools needed to conquer life's battles.

Jodie Sanderson

MSW, RSW

My journey in the helping field has included working with individuals and families for more than 10 years. I very much welcome the opportunity to work with a diverse array of clients as I work from a multitude of approaches that include anti-oppression, feminist, client-centered, Indigenous and strengths-based. It has always been a passion of mine to work as a clinical social work therapist and therefore have a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba. My therapeutic approaches include DBT, other CBT interventions, and Indigenous ways of healing.

I have experience helping those who have experienced trauma and those who live with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. I have tons of experience working with youth and Indigenous populations and experience helping those who have been in crisis as well as those who have experienced sexual assault.

I love to learn and listen to people's stories. I have always felt so honored and privileged to become a part of one's journey as they heal. I myself identify as Indigenous and have personal life experience living with anxiety. I would love to sit with you and come up with a plan to meet your goals.

‘What we don’t need in the midst of struggle is shame for being human’ - Brene Brown

Navigating the many challenges we experience in life can be stressful and overwhelming. I believe that people are resilient and at any stage in their life, may need support for these challenges. My name is Ellyn, and I started my journey in the helping field nearly eight years ago working with individuals of all ages as well as families.

I have continued to learn throughout these eight years, working with a diverse population while practicing from an approach that best suits the client including: anti-oppression, feminist, and strengths-based.

I use compassion and empathy to create a safe space where you can explore your therapeutic goals. I understand that sometimes we need help in discovering and identifying core issues and patterns while inspiring hope and wellness. I would love to meet with you and work together in creating a goal-oriented, solution-focused plan.

Josh Laforte

MSW, RSW

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to connect with your inner self and become the most authentic version of who you are? Hello, my name is Josh LaForte. I am an Indigenous psychotherapist and I work from an anti-oppressive, humanistic, and harm-reduction lens. I have been working in the mental health field for the past 7 years, which has come in the form of individuals, families, and groups. The way I work alongside individuals on their path of healing I draw from a trauma-informed, person-centred, decolonial, and wholistic practice.

I have experience in helping those living in marginalized populations who have experienced trauma and those who live with addictions, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I have experience working with the Indigenous population and working to de-stigmatizing and empower people to access mental health care, you do not need to suffer in silence.

I believe humans are relational beings and the interconnectivity between oneself and everything involved in your life plays a role. I work with individuals on their journey to become the most authentic versions of themselves. Together we will work collaboratively to illuminate, discover, and create a road map for finding purpose and fulfillment in one’s life. My work is rooted in the belief that everybody has the potential to self-actualize by connecting with your inner self through finding a connection between who are you today and who you want to become. No matter how difficult the journey is in front of us I will be there with you throughout the process, you are not alone.
